4 -Step process to help manage and maintain water quality - 1. Cleanse, 2. Magnetic Filter 3. Chemically treat and 4. Monitor.

In a closed loop hydronic heating system there are chemcial reactions that occur naturally when the water temperate is incresed. A small amount of disolved or obsorbed air is always present in a system . Because water (H2O) is part oxygen. Henrys law states: the solubility of a gas in liquids depends on the temperature and pressure. In summary, when water is cool, air is obsorbed, and when water is heated air is then released.
When water is heated, its solubility decreases, and small amount of oxygen is released into the system. This air mixes with the water and carbon steel piping system causes oxidative corrosion and hemitite is then formed, then over time it eventially turn into a black sludge that continues to accumulate until it is mechanicaly or chemcially removed.
To combat corrosion , many difffernt methods are used such as control of PH, use of checmial corrosion inhibitors and effective monitoring and control.
There are several differnt types of corrosion inhibitors available n the market today. However, for closed loop hydronic heating systems, mainly two types are reccomended. Molyybate and Nitrite corrosion inhibitors are film forming inhibitors and and protect against all forms of corrosion. Molybdate is reccomended over nitrites because it is required at a lower concentration, it is less toxic and and does not promote growth of bacteria. The nitrite works by reacting with the with ferrous hydroxide and forming a a passive layer of magnetite. The molybdateworks in a similiar manner by converting rust into the same pasive layer of magnetite.
Constant 24/7 monitoring system water allows for quick detection of contaminents, inefficiences, and maintining proper Nitrite levels. Iron oxides actually consume nitrates overtime and must be monitored to ensure no system corrosion is taking place.
Benifits of real time monitoring:
Early detection of defficiencies, with notificaitons, and rapid responce.
Maintain lower fuel bils, enhance equipment life and Lower mainatence costs.
Dose adjustment to support systems from being vulnerable to unneccesssary damge
